Meet Cade in 3D!

So we did the coolest thing and got a 3D/4D ultrasound done yesterday. It was so cool, we could see Cade's features and his extremely long body! He is 28 weeks and 1 day and he is measuring about the size of a 30 week old baby. His head is above average and his leg length is that of a baby at 31 weeks. He officially weighs in at 3 pounds 4 ounces. He has long legs, big feet, long fingers, it looks like nicks nose and my lips! He is a health boy! He loves to be very active all night and early in the morning. The whole experience was really cool, we had our family packed in the room and we all got to watch Cade in 3d for 20 minutes. He rolled around and grabbed his foot, he showed us his proof he was indeed a boy again and He yawned and stuck his tounge out and might have even flipped us off. It was really fun, i'm posting some of the 3d and 2d pics and then if i can get the video cropped down i'll put a clip of that up later too! Hope you all enjoy!

Nick's new tattoos!

These are nick's new tattoos! The one on his arm was done by our friend Tyler. It is a eagle wrestling a snake symbolizing victory over sin.
The one on his chest, the outline has been done for almost 10 years and he got it shaded and colored finally by the guy who started it years ago Scott Silvia.
Needless to say he is really stoked!

28 weeks = 7 months!

Hey everybody! So we have hit the 7 month mark! And i've learned some fun things...
-I have officially gained 10 pounds! YAY!
- Apparently as far as my eyes can see the bottom half of my stomach to my waist is pretty much invisible.
- my feet have grown 1/2 a size
- I have totally random crazy dreams
- I hardly sleep through the night
Other than that, things are going great and i'm amazed at how quick time is going by.
So here are our 7 month belly shots!

Baby Shower!

My sister threw us an awesome baby shower for all our friends here! It was fun and my friend Joanna made the most amazing cake!! Wonderful layers of chocolate amazingness! Here are a few pics from it and I'll have some more soon. It was fun, we had everyone bring their favorite children's book to give Cade instead of just regular gifts and we got some great ones!!! Nick has been practicing reading out loud to Cade and I at night, it is so cool!

Thanksgiving!

We had a great thanksgiving! We hung out with Nick's extended family. It was awesome Nick's grandpa said two things to me: "have you been eating green apples?" and "Stay out of prison". Not sure what either of those meant but it was memorable!

Nick ate stuffing for the first time in over 15 years. He had some traumatic experience with stuffing when he was younger, that left a poor taste in his mouth for years apparently. So big triumph for nick.

I on the other hand don't really like thanksgiving food so I ate a little here and there and was content. My favorite food was the clementines(little tangerines) that Grandma Hart had sitting on her counter. I ate like 3 or 4 of them. Yum!

Cade seemed to like the food. He wasn't any crazier than usual. He is an active little boy!

So the crisis(if you can even call it that) of the day was that at almost 7 months my regular clothes are starting to get tight and i haven't bought many maternity clothes yet so I was scrambling for something to wear. Nothing like last minute! :) But i had one pair of nice pants that still fit and one maternity shirt size small that worked well. Yay!

Here are a few pictures of us from thanksgiving:

Things are changing...

Hey everybody,
the brief updates are that we didn't feel at peace with moving into the place we were going to so we are back to staying with my parents and still looking around. It is a weird place to be, to be married, baby on the way and living with your parents getting closer to the date that your son might be living in your old bedroom. Good thing its bright blue! But we are just so thankful to have a place to stay, and that we get along great with my parents. So keep praying for us on the house search that our ears and hearts would be open to the wisdom of the Lord!

On the baby front Cade is a wild man! I don't know what he does in my belly but last week he kicked for literally 24 hours straight. Sometimes i think he is just spazzing and flinging his body all over the place. Nick thinks maybe he is practicing riding a bike. Who knows. But he is doing well and I'm a whimp because my body is already feeling the added weight. So pray for stamina for me!

We love you all and we will post some pics from thanksgiving later in the week!

6 Months!

Hey everyone,
Believe it or not we have hit the 6 month mark. I have officially gained 7 pounds! Cade is doing great, he is long and skinny like his daddy. At 5 months he was 2 inches longer than the average, know wonder i feel like he can kick from my ribs to my colon. I have been feeling pretty good which has been a huge blessing. I'm including my 6 month belly shot and it is getting big. I have totally started getting the back pains and leg cramps which is such a delight. (that was sarcasm in case you couldn't tell). But it is so cool being able to see my stomach jump as he kicks around in there, even when it is 2 in the morning. Cade is really active, i read something that said your baby should sleep 12-14 hours a day during this point but I don't think Cade knows that. We are getting so excited for the little guy to come in a few months and can't believe how fast it is going by.
A bunch of people have been asking where we are registered and so i put links on the side of the blog to our registries. The easiest way is to follow the link and then type in my first and last name to find the registry.
Another cool thing is that the Lord has blessed us with a cool place to stay. We have found a chance to oversee a complex and in exchange we get to stay in a fully furnished place which is a huge blessing since all our stuff got stolen and the insurance didn't cover everything. So we can replace the few things we will need and get the stuff needed for cade's room and then the rest is already there. We feel so blessed to have this transitionary place so that we don't have to frantically look for somewhere to buy and furnish fully before Cade is born. So thank the Lord for that. We will probably move in in December some time. So thank you so much for all of you guys that have been praying!!
Love you guys and hope you are all doing well!!

What we've been doing...

We went to the beach again! And it was cold again but still fun!!!

Nick took this picture of a dead sea lion... gross!

We hung out with paul and alana for halloween! So fun!

These are my parents dogs Merty and Harry! Harry was a ghost and Merty was a Bee for Halloween! Pretty funny!

Nick was blowing leaves so we thought we'd pose for a picture!

Did I mention he was blowing them off the roof of my parents barn.

What we've been doing...

We went to the beach one sunday morning and had a picnic in the fog. It was lovely!

Brrr!!! It was very cold!!!

We laughed at surfers who fell!

The other night we had Ben and Jerry's and played cards like old people! It was awesome! I had peach cobbler flavor which is amazing and nick had peanut butter cup!
